Behind the Design – Modern Farmhouse

There were two things that were important when designing this home: an abundance of natural light and the functionality of every space. We purposefully designed this home to be light-filled, functional and beautiful. The details were thoughtful and intentional to enhance the character of the space. There are so many favorite custom selections such as the cage light found in Round Top, to the antique pantry door that ties to the butler’s pantry perfectly, as well as the unique wire mesh for the mudroom. The hexagon tile in the guest bathroom is also a nod to the original 1960’s house that once stood here. We loved designing every detail for this project and we’ll go into further details in future posts.
