The look of animal wallpaper. It’s fun, it’s whimsical and typically makes a statement. The progress photo we featured last time, is right in line with that bold and fun feel! If a bold wallpaper is out of your comfort zone, you can opt for a more subtle option when it comes to the color palette and go with something more neutral.
Let’s talk about Gray Malin – photographer extraordinaire. I have been a long time fan and have one of his prints that I bought years ago with so many more on my coveting list. While looking at books for an upcoming style install, I came across his books and put this newest one right into my cart. In keeping with the animal theme from above, these are some of my favorite animal prints.
Right now we are working on a new build with a client that we are very excited about. We are still early on in the design development phase as we are looking a tile and plumbing pairings but absolutely loving the direction we are headed with this new build.
This week was all about business. I attended a 3 day business summit that was so informative and great to connect with other designers. I also read Studio McGee’s book and am fascinated by people and their stories. Building businesses, and not only in the interior design world, but in fashion, beauty and lifestyle categories are so interesting to me. When you’re in business, so many questions come up and finding relatable content is a great thing. I also think these stories spark different ideas and you can learn what to do or what not to do. Overall I think my quest for continued learning and development is why I love reading or listening to so many people’s stories.
We have a big install the week after next and we are using this coming week to prep. We will also be shooting some of the spaces prior to the big install. This install is a long time coming and so excited to get to the final phase of this project.
