What is your favorite white paint color?
Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace for a crisp white or Benjamin Moore Simply White for a soft white option.
How high should we hang a pendant above the island?
I prefer around 36” above the countertop. Sometimes rod lengths can’t get you exact but it can get you close.
What should we not skimp on in our project?
Lighting!! Lighting fixtures make a space. We get so many compliments on our lighting but we allocate a decent amount of the budget to these fixtures.
What should we not forget about when planning our budget?
Window Treatments. They finish off and complete a space by softening the architecture or adding texture through the materials selected. Custom window treatments account for about 20% of the final space budget.
What’s the best way to refresh a space?
Paint colors—walls and cabinets, light fixtures, and hardware will have the biggest impact on a space and where I would start. Next, I would invest in a new countertop and hard surface materials (i.e. flooring, tile).
